Does one ever have all the cool kitchen tools and gadgets that one needs? In answering that question for those in this group, there is always something that shows up as a new Fabulous Find. We end up saying, “I need that!” Of course, once we find it, we want to make it available to you. We just know that you probably need it too!
What Makes Cool Kitchen Tools & Gadgets Important?
Many of us spend a good deal of time in the kitchen. Some of us still have eat-in kitchens. We find that family members love to gather there to see what cooking. Children often learn at a very early age that kitchen is where they are most likely to find Mom. Then, as they age and return home from school, they immediately go to the kitchen to get a snack. Of course, they are hoping to stave off hunger pains as they wait for Mom and Dad to come home from work so they can eat dinner. Then, they grow older, they begin to associate happy feelings and memories of good times, all taking place in the kitchen.
When I lived in Wisconsin, I had a very good friend who frequently had myself and my two children over to her house. Honestly, we spent most of that time in the kitchen. I remember, several years later after I first met her, remarking on how cool her house seemed but I really never saw much of it. All our time together was spent at the family table.
Shocked, she offered me a tour of the rest of her house. It was great to see, but to this day, it is still her kitchen that I recall all of our good times being spent. I cherish those memories, as my friend is no longer with us. The memories were of fun times were created first. Then, when I grieved the loss of my friend, I realized that all the times and memories that were created with her, centered in her kitchen.
Cool Kitchen Tools & Gadgets: Need vs. Want
Does it matter? As far as cool kitchen tools and gadgets, it is often hard to distinguish my need for something, versus my want for it. I think that because when I see something new and cool, I immediately envision how I could have used something like it all along. The next words out of my mouth are “I want that!”
What’s great about something new that you’ve been missing in your life is this: Who cares if you want it and don’t necessarily need it, especially if it’s affordable? You’ll find that out soon enough on your own, and then you can always offer it up for sale on social media. But heh! You can always get something newer to replace it! But, the things that I like most about this site is that everything on it is affordable! For once, you don’t need to break the bank for that cool tool or gadget that you’ve just got to have!
I am ALWAYS looking for a decent place to put my kitchen sponge in the kitchen. I’ve used various things, but the small paper plate for the sponge looks cheap and out of place. The small little bowl I’ve used in the best often contains all the dirty kitchen water that was once in the sink. Yuk! I’d hate for anyone to enter my kitchen and see that. But look at the attractive setup here. It has an area to place my hand sap and there’s a drain at the bottom that I can easily empty after my sponge drains. I just know that I need this!
Cool Kitchen Tools & Gadgets: Safety
The safety of cool kitchen tools and gadgets is also a major concern of most mom’s and grandmas. When our kids walk into the kitchen for their after-school-snack, we want to make sure that what they use is safe. Above all, we don’t want to make a quick run to the local Urgent Care or Emergency Room as soon as we get home from work. So, this is the place to shop when you know that you have kids at home alone for 1-2 hours before Mom or Dad can make it back home. Safety is always a pre-requisite for for busy parents, so just keep that in mind when you shopping.
